My name is Tonya, founder, model and head bottle washer here at Curvy Definition Plus. I’m a simple girl who used to save all her lunch money as a child to buy clothes for school fair day. To say I’m obsessed with dressing up and looking classy is an understatement.
I spent 12yrs in the BPO sector and it was a joy to dress up for work, needless to say, other plus-size females would always ask where I shopped and that’s where I started my side hustle which is now my main squeeze Curvy Definition Plus, a friend purchased an item from me that could not fit me, she then sent someone else and then someone else and before I knew it I was doing preorders from fast fashion websites. I used to feel discriminated against and saddened by the fact that I could not purchase from most stores locally and the largest sizes they would have was X-Large or the stores that had “PLUS SIZES” they were super expensive, hence I take real pride in offering women everydaywear (no lazy closet) right fit pieces that makes customers feel comfortable, sexy and confident without breaking the bank.
Curvy Definition Plus started in August 2019 and needless to say I am proud of my journey. Curvy Definition Plus operates exclusively online, we sell through our website and ship locally and internationally using Zipmail (post office), Knutsford express, and tara couriers. What I am doing now I am sure it’s my purpose and it’s so fulfilling to get DM’s from customers telling me how much I helped them regain their confidence or just the multiple compliments they receive when they wear an item from Curvy Definition Plus.
